Naturopathy is a holistic approach to healthcare that values an individual's mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Through utilising nutrition, herbal medicine and lifestyle changes, your practitioner will endeavour to find the underlying cause of your concern as well as support associated symptoms. Naturopathic medicine encourages the body's natural healing mechanisms based on scientific research as well as traditional knowledge. We use a gentle holistic approach that respects the interaction between the mind, body and environment. We use holistic nutrition, herbal medicine, lifestyle advice and mind-body medicine to support the body to heal itself, beginning at the root of the cause. Herbal medicine are plant based medicines that are made from different combinations of plant parts e.g. leaves, flowers and roots. Each plant used has different medicinal uses; your practitioner will formulate a mixture of herbs tailored to your individual needs. Herbal medicine can be used for most individual's, including children. |
