Welcome to Nandish Chiropractic. On arrival you will be required to complete a Patient Intake Form which will help us understand your health concerns. Once completed, your Chiropractor will go through a detailed health history and physical examination (postural exam, range of motion exam, orthopaedic analysis and neurological integrity) to determine your spinal health. If needed, you will have x-rays/MRI performed to better understand the condition of your spine and adjustments performed to help alleviate acute pain. This process takes 30 minutes.
The major purpose of the examination is to analyse the condition of your spine and nervous system and how it is functioning, locate any areas of subluxation, and rule out any contraindications. If your case is not suitable for chiropractic care you will be advised accordingly and referred to the appropriate health care provider.
Your Second Visit - Report Of Findings
Your examination findings and spinal health will be written and discussed with you helping you understand why your body is suffering. As each patient we see is unique, your Chiropractic treatment will be custom tailored to your needs and goals. Our Chiropractors are committed to helping you find a solution to your concerns with the highest level of hands on Chiropractic Care. This marks the beginning of your treatment. This visit is scheduled for 20 minutes.
Your Third Visit - The Adjustment
The process of correcting spinal misalignments is called an adjustment. By applying a specific and precise force in the right direction and at the right time, changes in the position and motion of spinal bones can be made. Over time this process helps correct abnormal structural and neural patterns. Generally, the longer the problem has been present, the longer it takes to fully correct. The specific techniques chosen will depend on your age, condition and comfort levels. Our Chiropractors are highly trained professionals and have a range of techniques to suit individuals from newborn to the elderly. In the hands of a qualified Chiropractor, adjustments carry much less risk than pain medications, anti-inflammatory drugs and many common daily activities.
Your follow up visits are scheduled in advance to help you achieve the best results possible. This visit is scheduled for 10 minutes.
Our Chiropractic Techniques
Our Chiropractors are proficient in Specialised Chiropractic Techniques
Thompson Technique - This approach focuses on the full spine by using an adjustable table that lowers the part of your body that corresponds to the spinal area that is to be adjusted. The main areas that are treated are the pelvic, dorsal and lumbar regions. This method has grown to be loved because it is not painful and uses the least force, because the thrust brings about movement whereas the fast drop will help the joint go through the rest of the required motion.
Spinal Manipulation - After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up stuck spinal joints.
Spinal Decompression - Flexion/distraction is a technique that is a non-invasive and effective means of treating low back pain and more specifically disc herniations, bulges, and spinal stenosis, it also stretches the musculature.
Activator Methods - This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust.
Webster Pregnancy - By releasing the stress on a pregnant woman’s pelvis, the uterus and surrounding ligaments relax, permitting the baby to turn naturally.
Pediatric Care - Chiropractic adjustments for babies are very different to adjustments for adults. We use only light fingertip pressure to adjust the spine. Through chiropractic care we will help to remove the nerve interference from the system and therefore enable the body to start healing itself more effectively.
Cranial Therapy - This is a specific chiropractic technique to restore function and movement of the skull sutures to improve the physiological function of the body. It is extremely gentle with only light pressure being used.
Sacro Occipital Technique - SOT is a specific chiropractic technique that uses triangular-shaped blocks usually placed under the pelvis of a patient who is laying on their back and is used to treat problems of the lower back. The adjustments involve low force and slow pressure may also be used to address joint problems identified in the skull.
Upper Cervical Toggle Recoil - While lying on your side, we’ll use our hands to deliver a quick contact to the upper bones of your spine. Your body does the rest.
Gonstead - This full spine approach relies on X-rays and a heat-sensing instrument for a thorough evaluation and documented results.
Bio Geometric Integration - BGI is a conceptual understanding which enhances the chiropractor's knowledge of the human body. Through understanding the innate geometry of the body, the chiropractor is able to more effectively and gently release the subluxation and assess the effectiveness of the adjustment.
Network Spinal Analysis NSA - Amazingly, a simple tap along your spine as you inhale and exhale, prompts your body to embrace a more peaceful, resourceful state
Applied Kinesiology AK - This is a form of diagnosis through muscle testing to examine how a person’s body is functioning.
Extremity Adjustments - This is the application of chiropractic manipulation or adjustment to joints other than those of the spine - shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand/finger, hip, knee and ankle/foot/toe.
